Goodbye Impatiens

Well, it's finally cooling off here in West Michigan. Just a few days ago we were basking in 85 degree weather. Now it's dropped into the 50's, assuring us that fall is in fact here, and winter will soon be on the way. Unfortunately, this also means the end of the beautiful annuals in the front garden. The impatiens have grown from tiny little starts to full bursts of lush color. It will be sad to see them go, but such is the cycle of life...
